Barricaded Man Causes Sheriff to Close El Dorado Hills Boulevard
EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. (PR Pond) —An armed man has barricaded himself in a home near El Dorado Hills Blvd, forcing authorities to shut down the popular thoroughfare.
According to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department, the man threatened to shoot anyone who approaches his home near El Dorado Hills Boulevard and he is refusing to cooperate with deputies.
El Dorado Hills Boulevard was shut down between Wilson Boulevard and Olsen Lane for more than five hours.
The busy street in El Dorado Hills reopened after a man who was allegedly holed up inside of his home with weapons surrendered peacefully Wednesday night, officials said.
The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department said the man surrendered at about 10:30 p.m. outside of his home near El Dorado Hills Boulevard.
No one was hurt in the incident.
