El Dorado Dog Owners Guild says, "We thank you!"
First, grateful thanks to:
The Freda B. Runyan Foundation
for an unsolicited gift of $3,000 - such a lovely surprise!
As Holly Morrison, EDDOG President, wrote in a letter
"How can we even begin to thank you for the additional donation to the El Dorado Dog Owners Guild (EDDOG) ..... We were so thrilled to have received the initial grant of $1,000, which went to the purchase of fencing and allowed Hacienda Dog Park to open, but to receive an additional gift of $3,000 sent us over the Moon.
Your kind and thoughtful donation is an everlasting tribute to the generosity of the foundation and will go a long way in helping the El Dorado Dog Owners Guild fundraising efforts achieve its goal to purchase a water fountain for the dog park."
Thank you also to:
Decann Hawley of Decann's European Automobile Services in Cameron Park. Decann wins the prize for initiative! He saw a need, he stepped up and executed the project. Noticing that we were in desperate need of doggie bag waste dispensers he purchased two and erected them on our magnificent new fence, one in the large dog park and the other in the small dog park. We all really appreciate your donation Decann!
And thank you to:
Pam and Brad Brooke who donated and erected a third waste bag station for the large dog park and a generous supply of baggies. Pam and Brad are very active members of our dog owner community. Brad is an 'EDDOG super volunteer' and his help has been an invaluable support for us this past year. Pam is one of the charter members of the newly formed Hacienda Dog Park Ambassador Program and a great asset to this fledgling group who seek to promote a safe end enjoyable experience for all at Hacienda Dog Park. Thank you both.
Finally, we offer our thanks for the wonderful new cabinet which has been erected opposite the entrances to the dog parks. This was a generous gift from
Keith Wills of Western Sign Company Inc., whose design department also provided the artwork and the logos for EDDOG and CPCSD within. Thank you also to Craig Shuler of the CPSCD who designed and built the magnificent support structure for the cabinet. We love it!
We cannot leave this section without thanking all the staff of the CPCSD for everything they have done to make Hacienda Dog Park a success:
Mary Cahill, General Manager
Paul Ryan, Parks Superintendent
JR Hichborn, Parks Supervisor
Tina Helm, Recreation Supervisor
Thank you all - you have been such great partners in this endeavor!
