Sheriff Cracks down on Tahoe gang members with Probation Sweep
On June 11th in South Lake Tahoe, Probation searches were conducted on six residences and evidence of gang affiliation was found.
One person was arrested on a violation of probation and another for possession of drug paraphernalia. The third person was a fugitive from justice who was wanted on a felony warrant out of San Diego County. Last Tuesday Federal prosecutors unsealed a 212-page racketeering indictment against dozens of suspected members and associates of the 52 Broadway Gangster Crips but it is unknown if this warrant was related. El Dorado County sheriff’s officials are not saying why they are not releasing the names.
According to law enforcement, two additional gang member validations were documented.
