City Council: Wendy Thomas seeks reelection
Wendy Thomas, former mayor and current councilwoman, will be running again for the Placerville City Council in the November election.
“I am immensely grateful for the privilege of representing this city the past four years, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve a second term,” she said.
Thomas’ focus will continue to be common sense leadership that works to nurture common ground, she said. An ardent supporter of Placerville, Thomas was instrumental in getting the community to vote in the Paint What Matters contest, and she is delighted a large section of Main Street is currently being repainted.
She said she is proud of helping improve communication with the community through the Neighborhood Chat Program, while fostering increased collaboration with the county. She does believe in looking at appropriate ways to improve the Clay Street/Cedar Ravine intersection, and she does not support the roundabout at Cedar Ravine because of a lack of broad community support.
