City Garbage Collection Rates Going Up

Waste Connections requested a 4.91 percent rate increase for city garbage collection. In Placerville, garbage collection is mandatory as per a 2009 ordinance. For residential customers with a 35 gallon container, the increase will amount to an additional $.89 per month. For seniors (65 and older) with a 35 gallon container, the rate will remain unchanged.
