Free Farmers Market & Mobile Food Pantry Distribution to At-Risk Population
What: On June 18, 2014 the Food Bank of El Dorado County, in partnership with California FoodLink, Wells Fargo Bank and local Veterans, will distribute fresh produce and emergency supplemental groceries to at-risk residents of El Dorado County at the VFW in Placerville.
The distribution will provide fresh produce and emergency supplemental groceries to up to 200 at-risk families and individuals.
This distribution kicks off the first of many Free Farmers Markets and Mobile Food Pantry distributions to be held in communities all throughout El Dorado County over the next few months.
Why: As part of the Food Bank’s efforts to “Prevent Hunger – Provide Hope” to El Dorado County’s at-risk population.
Who: The Food Bank of El Dorado County is the largest collaborative charity in the county with more than 30 partner agencies strategically located from El Dorado Hills to South Lake Tahoe. In collaboration with California FoodLink to provide Free Farmers Markets and Wells Fargo Bank for this Mobile Food Pantry distribution, the Food Bank works with its local community members to “Prevent Hunger – Provide Hope” to El Dorado County’s at-risk population.
Where: 130 Placerville Drive, Placerville, CA 95667 in the Parking Lot of the VFW.
