Main Street Matters First Brush Stroke Event!
The "First Brush Stroke" ceremony will take place at the Bell Tower on Main Street at Noon on Monday, June 2, and will signal the kick-off of Benjamin Moore's "Main Street Matters" painting that Placerville won (as one of 20 cities in North America) by voting for the makeover last summer! Mayor Carl Hagen, along with Benjamin Moore representative John Lanzilotti and other local dignitaries will participate in a press conference to recognize Placerville for its efforts to bring the program to this historic gold-rush town. The entire community is welcome to come and cheer on the first brush stroke!
Information About the Main Street Matters First Brush Stroke Event on 6/2/14
The "First Brush Stroke" ceremony took place at the Bell Tower on Main Street and proceeded to Placerville Hardware, where the first stroke of paint was applied. At the Bell Tower, Mayor Carol Hagen presented Benjamin Moore representative John Lanzilotti with a proclamation from the City of Placerville and a plaque to remember Placerville. Then, the mayor and the Benjamin Moore representatives moved to Placerville Hardware where they brushed on the first brushstroke of paint.
