Open letter to our Sheriff and Deputies
My name is Shalene Campbell. Most people know me as the one that helps out with all of John D'Agostini's events.
On May 26th, My oldest daughter was very badly beaten by her now ex boyfriend. I contacted a deputy and was given the best respectful help.
My daughter is alive today thanks to the three deputies that got involved and didn't give up on her. Good for them for sticking with her even through all the confusion and the what seemed to be drama.
My oldest daughter is developmentally disabled. They saw her disability and took time with her. They were respectful and patient.
One officer that transported my daughter to the hospital was so sweet. My daughter bugged him and didn't want to let go. She keeps saying they saved my life. It is true. They did save her life.
I'm afraid to think what might have happened if they decided not to help because this has happened to many times before.
Thank you to our Sheriff and his deputies for a wonderful job you all do every day to ensure our safety.
We appreciate you more than you can ever know.
We are proud of each of you.
