Judges endorse Combellack for judge
A large group of highly respected El Dorado County Judges that includes the Hon. Terrence M. Finney (Ret.), Hon. Steven C. Bailey, Hon. Patrick J. Riley, (Ret.) Hon. Nelson Keith Brooks, Hon. William E. Byrne (Ret.) and the Hon. Thomas A. Smith (Ret.) have announced their endorsement of prominent local attorney David Combellack for the El Dorado County Superior Court office. Also adding their endorsement of Combellack is Hon. David L. DeVore, presiding judge of Alpine County Superior Court, and retired Alpine County Superior Court Judge Richard K. Specchio.
The judges all agree that Combellack’s longstanding reputation for fairness, honesty, knowledge of the law and commitment to being tough on crime are the deciding factors in their endorsement decisions.
“When it comes to what our courtrooms really need in a judge, David Combellack is the most qualified candidate in the race and is the right choice for Superior Court Judge,” said retired El Dorado County Superior Court Judge and District Attorney Terrence M. Finney.
El Dorado County Presiding Juvenile Court Judge Bailey said, “David Combellack will be fair, respectful and impartial to all those who appear before him.”
“Earning the respect and support of both sitting and retired El Dorado County judges is the best endorsement a judicial candidate can have. The citizens will be well served by his election,” said Brooks.
David Combellack is a successful attorney with over 35 years of experience in the county’s legal system and courts. He has served his community by being a former president of the El Dorado County Bar Association, volunteer Superior Court Judge Pro Tem, and a Teen Court judge and mentor. As a fourth-generation resident, Combellack continues to support the community by serving with the El Dorado Community Foundation, the Marshall Hospital Board, the Rotary Club of Placerville, the El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce and several other nonprofit organizations.
