Placerville'S Glenn O’Rourke, 26, arrested in Sexual Predator Case
"El Dorado County Sheriff John D’Agostini takes these types of cases extremely seriously. Sexual Predator cases are fully and completely investigated to keep our children and communities safe."
El Dorado County authorities said Saturday that they have arrested a 26-year-old Placerville man thanks in part to the help of a 15-year-old boy whom officials said was an intended victim of the alleged sexual predator.
Detectives arrested O’Rourke before the meeting could occur, and he was booked into the county jail with a bail of $250,000.
Officials said the 15-year-old boy reported to the sheriff’s office earlier this month that he had received sexually suggestive text messages and sexually explicit, homemade videos from O’Rourke. At the time, officials said O’Rourke identified himself to the youth as “Glenn Coco” and ultimately tried to arrange to meet the boy.
Instead, the 15-year-old assisted detectives, who said they contacted O’Rourke using the boy’s mobile phone and impersonated the boy. A meeting date and location were established, which resulted in O’Rourke’s arrest.
Detectives do not believe the 15-year-old was the only intended victim targeted by O’Rourke. They’re asking anyone with information to call Detective Rich Horn at (530) 642-4715.

Joe Stewart adds: Parents please check your children's social media pages, we have several people in this county that incorporate the name "CoCo" into their user names.
Parents need to be aware that, a "CoCo" or the act of "CoCoing" someone refers to the act of dating / shagging / kissing / having any form of sexual relationship with them despite the fact that they are "much much" younger than you.
The name is derived from a Deviant CoCoer called "John Coco" who was convicted of preying on young girls during 2008-2009.
This may be a trend by sexual predators and deviants to incorporate the name "CoCo" into their FB and Instagram accounts, such as "John CoCo/ Glenn CoCo" ect.
Young unassuming teens may not recognize this as a threat to their safety. These predators are able to let other predators know their real intentions to prey on young people by including this in their user names.
The term may have originated from a popular teen movie called "Mean Girls" from 2004 (yes I have 4 daughters) smile.
Where "Glenn CoCo" was an actor who played a small role in the movie. This took on a popular movement by young people and actually became a widely used slang term amongst teens, on the internet and even on printed T-shirts with the saying "You Go Glenn CoCo"...which at that time was silly and innocent.
Over time it appears that it has now be transformed and adopted by some deviants as explained above. Some teens may be familiar with the early meaning of this saying but may not be aware of this transition which makes it so dangerous.
