Frances Estelle Gilluly Fraulob
March 11, 1917 — April 18, 2014
After a full life of joy, challenge and adventure, Frances Estelle Gilluly Fraulob fell asleep in death in her 98th year of life on April 18, 2014, in her own bed in her own home. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Harold Joseph Fraulob; her parents, Robert and Nellie Gilluly; and her beloved sister, Doris Heaton. She is survived by sons, Robert and Donald; daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Melissa; her niece, Nancy Heaton; five grandchildren, David, Debbi, Nikki, Joseph and Jenny; six great-grandchildren; her dear friend, Sharon; her loving caregivers; and many friends.
Fran was raised in Los Angeles, where she graduated from Franklin High School. She met her husband, Harold, while both were working for the DMV in Riverside. Thereafter they worked together in Riverside, Fresno and Sacramento. They traveled the world together both before and after their retirements. They built their home in Cameron Park, and were proud residents of El Dorado County for more than 46 years. After Harold’s death, Fran continued her traveling ways, visiting many more exotic destinations with friends or on her own. Even in her last days she never lost her curiosity, inquisitiveness, intelligence and humor. She was a remarkable woman worthy of remembrance.
Fran was a devoted student and teacher of the Bible and a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness since 1942. A memorial service will be held for her at 5:30 p.m., on April 26, at the Kingdom Hall, 5051 Hillsdale Circle in El Dorado Hills, Calif.
