Bobby Lloyd Bridges
April 1, 1931 — April 19, 2014
Bobby “Bob” Lloyd Bridges was born April 1, 1931, in Polk County, Mo. He was a lifelong educator and a resident of El Dorado County for more than 46 years. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman who loved fishing with his grandson, Christopher. Known for his great sense of humor, he had a weekly ritual of trading jokes with his granddaughter, Campbell, as well as a collection of joke books. He was an Army veteran who was passionate regarding those who served our country. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, a friend to all and one who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ellie; his children, Tim (Allison) Bridges and Kari (Mel) Guthrie; grandchildren, Campbell Bridges, Kayla (Kelly) Horton and Christopher Guthrie; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Carson Horton. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew.
All are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 24, at Cold Springs Community Church, 2600 Cold Springs Road in Placerville, Calif.
