Alliance of California Judges endorses Sullivan
The Alliance of California Judges, consisting of 500 members, endorsed Commissioner Dylan Sullivan for El Dorado County Superior Court Judge.
“Your experience as an El Dorado County Superior Court Commissioner and your impeccable reputation for hard work, fairness and integrity make you an exceptional candidate for Judge. Justice and the people of El Dorado County will be well served by you,” stated Judge Steve White, President of the Alliance of California Judges and a Sacramento County Superior Court Judge.
Sullivan stated, “I am honored to receive such a prestigious endorsement which represents so many California Judges.” The Alliance is committed to ensure that our courts remain open and accessible with accountable local management of the California courts, to guarantee financial responsibility and minimize statewide bureaucracy, and to ensure a strong preference for local flexibility in the conduct of court affairs.
Commissioner Sullivan is the only Superior Court Commissioner for El Dorado County. She has the same duties and responsibilities of a Superior Court Judge and handles some of the community's most pressing needs in cases involving child custody, domestic violence, divorce and other family law matters, in addition to landlord-tenant disputes and traffic court. In addition, she is a sought-after educator regarding the Criminal Justice Realignment Act of 2011, and, most recently, the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) selected Ms. Sullivan as faculty for “New Judge Orientation (NJO),” a required course for all new judicial officers.
Sullivan is also endorsed by El Dorado County Superior Court Presiding Judge Suzanne N. Kingsbury, Assistant Presiding Judge James R. Wagoner, Juvenile Presiding Judge Steven C. Bailey, Judge Daniel B. Proud, Judge Nelson Keith Brooks, Judge Kenneth J. Melikian, and Judge Warren “Curt” Stracener, law enforcement, attorneys, business and community leaders, and court staff.
