Cameron Park CSD Can't Decide on Replacment - Goes to Election
The Cameron Park CSD was unable to fill the vacant seat left by the unexpected departure of Sean Tucker.
The CSD had hoped to fill the position by appointment and had a number of applicants but failed to decide on any one candidate.
Eight candidates had applied but no candidate received enough votes to be selected.
Failing to appoint a replacement, the position will now go to a public vote in the November General election.
In addition to the replacement of the vacated seat of Sean Tucker, the seats held by Shiva Frentzen, Greg Stanton and Scott McNeil will also be up for election as the term expires this election cycle. Usually the five member board elects three members one cycle and two members at another election but this year they will be voting on four of the five positions due to the mid-tern departure of Tucker.
