Man turns on gas, blows up home in Pollock Pines - taken to UC Davis Medical Center
POLLOCK PINES, Calif. (KCRA) —El Dorado County Sheriff's Department said a man threatened to blow up his home and then caused an explosion in Pollock Pines Saturday afternoon.
Officers said a man called 911 and threatened to blow up his home. When deputies arrived at the residence on the 6000 block of Pony Express Trail, they heard an explosion around 3 p.m.
Investigators said the man turned on the gas in his house and tried to blow himself up.

"theres more to the story then you heard on the news or anything.. .. his long time g/f had a heart attack and while in the hospital was told no stress so she asked her son to let him know when she returns home from hospital he cant be there he has to leave . after over a decade of being together now having to be on his own and wasn't able to cope with it decided to end his life and take the home with him.. my friend is the son of the lady who had the heart attack and was the girlfriend of the man who blew the house up , he also received text messages telling him Boom before the house went. sad story to think when she comes home from hospital she has nothing to come home too .."
