Schwartzler pleads no contest
A man accused of trying to kill his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend pleaded no contest Friday morning.
Judge Daniel B. Proud told Austin Schwartzler that it was his understanding Schwartzler would be pleading to Count 1 of the complaint, attempted murder, and that the enhancements attached to the charge would be dismissed.
Prosecutor Lisette Suder noted that the caveat was that Schwartzler would have to plead to “willful, deliberate and premeditated attempted murder” and with that, the enhancements would be dismissed....
