Learn about the California Delta
In the wake of California’s serious drought situation, the California Delta — the vast delta ecosystem fed by the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers and their tributaries — remains in the center of California’s complex water management issues.
Moyle will present the big picture about the delta ecosystem and its fishes, looking at the delta as a novel and constantly changing ecosystem. The decisions we make today, such as building the tunnels, will result in further changes to this important ecosystem, in ways that we may or may not find desirable.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to learn about the California Delta ecosystem from Moyle, who is author/coauthor of 200 scientific papers and the author of 10 books, including “Inland Fishes of California” and “Fishes: an enthusiast’s guide.”
The presentation is Wednesday, March 5 from 7-9 p.m. at the Community Room, C-102, Folsom Lake College, El Dorado Center, 6699 Campus Drive in Placerville.
Admission is free.
The event is hosted by Mike Denega, Folsom Lake College and El Dorado County Career Technical Partnership.
