TEEN DIES AT HEAVENLY LAKE TAHOE
A man died Tuesday after a ski patrol, from Heavenly Lake Tahoe, came upon the skier lying in the snow and having a difficult time breathing.
The ski patrol stumbled upon the teen just before noon on Tuesday. When they discovered the man lying in the snow, and barely breathing, they rushed him down the hill to waiting paramedics. Deputies and the Tahoe Douglas Paramedics responded to the resort's Boulder Lodge and performed life-saving efforts on him around 11:45am, but it was too late. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The skier was identified as Wyatt James Colvard of Fountain Valley.
The Douglas County Coroner’s office has said their preliminary findings are that he died from injuries sustained from blunt force trauma.
Authorities say an autopsy conducted on Wyatt James Colvard of Fountain Valley showed he died of internal injuries from blunt force trauma.
