Tahoe Casino Winnings drop 25% in December
Nevada casinos have pulled in nearly 10 percent more gambling revenue in December compared with the same time last year.
The state Gaming Control Board reports Friday that December casino winnings topped $1 billion. That's up from $943 million in December 2012.
South Lake Tahoe casino revenues took a 25 percent dip, dropping to $16 million this December.
Reno casino winnings of $40 million were down about 1 percent from last December.
Las Vegas Strip winnings of $664 million were up almost 13 percent year-over-year. Downtown revenues of $42 million were also up 13 percent.
