Local Republican Party announces El Dorado County Republican Convention
The event, the first of its kind in California, opens up the endorsement process to registered Republicans in El Dorado County and includes multiple candidate question and answer forums.
This revolutionary event will ensure an open and transparent process in which fiscal conservatives and Republicans alike can participate in all aspects of the election process. It promises to be educational as well as strength building for the growing conservative movement.
During the daylong event, Republican candidates will participate in question and answer forums to inform delegates on why each candidate is the best choice. Endorsements will come from a majority vote.
“As chairman, I have had a desire to open up the process and motivate more Republicans to get involved,” explained El Dorado County Republican Central Committee Chairman Dallas Sweeney. “It is our intention to give conservatives and Republicans an opportunity to express their opinion on all levels of government and various initiatives.”
Although sponsored by the Central Committee, other organizations including El Dorado Liberty Caucus, El Dorado Republican Women Federated, and others are all actively participating in the event.
There is a $50 processing fee to be a delegate if registered by March 10, 2013, but increases to $65 thereafter. Delegates will receive credentials, separate access to candidates, and participation in all parts of the day. Admission to observe the forums is $10.
