Repeal of Prohibition Celebration. Celebrate the day the 18th amendment was repealed on December 5th, 1933. 4:30-8pm Four local wineries, Boeger, David Girard, Gold Hill, and Wofford Acres will be offering wine tasting at this event as well as soup, bread, and appetizers. Event will be held at 399 Placerville Dr., the location of MORE. The location will be decorated to replicate a 1933 speakeasy and a password will be needed to enter. Vintage cars and Costumes are encouraged. There will be a poker run and tickets for drawing prizes. For those who choose to dress-up there will also be prizes for the best period costumes and live music for listening or dancing. All proceeds benefit Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises (MORE) and adults with developmental disabilities in El Dorado County. Tickets are available at MORE and each of the participating wineries or at http://www.morerehab.org/ for $20 each or $10 for your designated driver. Christmas Gift Bazaar Sierra Rizing Bakery and Cafe is hosting a Christmas gift bazaar and pot luck December 6th 5pm-9pm and December 7th 8am-2pm. Christmas in Coloma 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. annual old-fashioned Christmas Celebration features period crafts, music, strolling musicians, historic trade demonstrations, 19th-century children's games, wreath making, and vendors featuring hand-made crafts and foods for sale.
