Community Christmas tree lighting in Pollock Pines on 12-7
Due to the construction at the old Los Hermanos site, this year the event will be held in the El Dorado Savings parking lot and will include the dancers from On Stage Production, the Sierra Ridge choir, and some touching stories by some of the youth of Pollock Pines...... all heralding the arrival of Santa Claus!
There will be music by a DJ and a stirring introduction by Master Of Ceremonies Kevin Brown as the crowd continues to grow.
Last year there was an estimated 600 people in attendance. This year, the TREES FOR TEENS project will be separated from the community tree. The Trees For Teens project is a fund raiser now in its fourth year and is our community's way of helping some wonderful older kids in our community to have a nice Christmas with a couple of nice presents.
The trees are purchased and decorated by individual organizations, businesses, and residents and are located on the corner of Sly Park Road and Pony Express Trail. The Trees For Teens and the Community Tree will all be lit at the same time on December 7!
There will be a special “little” surprise, too!
