A taste of Burgundy in Fair Play
Winery by the Creek crafts wines in a French style and this holiday season the personnel is looking to share a taste of French nobility with wine club members and guests.
The feast will be in a social format with opportunity to taste, socialize and enjoy the wine cave without the formality of a sit down dinner.
The evening will begin with light hors d’œuvres and a special uncorking of a French sparkler and port apéritif.
Rare library wines from the winemaker’s private cellar will accompany a feast of traditional Burgundian fare featuring frisée apple salad with French chèvre, chateaubriand served with a butter and wine sauce, château potatoes roasted with olive oil and parsley, roasted asparagus with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, artisan chocolate, cheeses and French macaroons.
The feast will also play host to barrel tastings of Winery by the Creek wine futures and grappa as a digestif for those who choose to partake.
Ticket prices are $25 per person for Caverne Society members. Non-members and guests are $35 per person. Tickets are all inclusive for the event and space is limited.
