Help support Raley’s Food For Families
Raley’s Food For Families is one of the main givers of food for local food banks. Just one Food for Families bag can provide over 18 meals to a hungry family.
In California alone, nearly 27 percent of children don’t know where their meal will come from.
Hunger is a reality for one in eight Americans.
Making A Difference
It feels good to know that - together - we're helping folks right here in our communities. With your support, and the Making a difference... support of Raley's employees and business partners, Food For Families has raised more than $29 million and donated more than 19 million pounds of dry groceries to food banks in our communities since the program began as a holiday food drive in 1986.
Raley’s Food For Families holiday bag program doubles customers’ charitable giving by offering a $10 bag of wholesome, nonperishable and fresh food valued at more than $20 to benefit local food banks. Donors can personally select where they want their donation to go, ensuring that 100 percent of their contribution will feed the hungry in their neighborhood.
Today, food banks throughout Northern California and Nevada benefit from this non-profit program. Partnerships with The Sacramento Bee, the Modesto Bee and the San Francisco Chronicle also help to support Food For Families through newspaper sales in Raley's stores.
Food For Families helps feed hundreds of thousands of hungry families year-round. Raley's Co-Chairman and Owner, Joyce Raley Teel, and CEO emeritus, Charles Collings, founded the program.
Raley's absorbs all administrative costs of the program with 100 percent of every donation going directly to help feed the hungry. All donated food is distributed by local food banks. That means that the donations you make stay in your community. Together, we're making a difference.
Donate at any Raley’s, Bel Air, Food Source stores, on-line at www.Raleys.com or on Facebook www.facebook.com/raleysfoodforfamilies, now through Dec. 31 and help in the fight to feed the hungry.
