Farm Bureau Endorses Ray Nutting

After reviewing the qualifications of both candidates as well as their responses to questions concerning issues of interest to agriculture, the El Dorado County Farm Bureau’s Board of Directors decided to endorse Ray Nutting in the Board of Supervisors District 2 race.
“Ray Nutting is unquestionably the best candidate to represent farmers and help protect agriculture, and he’s earned our support,” said Farm Bureau President, Jim Davies.
“Ray is the best qualified candidate for Supervisor,” said Farm Bureau Board member and rancher, Chuck Bacchi. “He’s walked in our shoes and understands our concerns.”
“As a timber manager, Ray understands the natural resource issues that we face,” said Jim Davies, a local forester. “He knows the importance of being a good steward of the land and the environment.”
Nutting owns and operates a ranch in Happy Valley and works as a private timber operator in the County where his family has worked the land for four generations.
“Ray Nutting is a proven leader who is committed to protecting our way of life in El Dorado County,” said Board member, Merv de Haas. “He brings experience to the county at a critical time for all of us.”
The El Dorado County Farm Bureau works to promote and protect farmers, ranchers, and foresters, and our rural way of life on behalf of nearly 1,200 member families county-wide.
