Gun Owners of America Endorses Igor Birman for Congress - Video
Gun Owners of America is proud to endorse Igor Birman as he runs for Congress in California’s 7th Congressional District. “I know what it is like to live in a country that bans its citizens from gun ownership as a means of oppression. I will always support the right of all law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms,” Birman said.
While Igor was still a teenager, his family fled the collapsed USSR and flew to the United States of America with the hope of living as free people in a land of opportunity. They arrived safely in California in the early 1990’s and Igor and his family became citizens of this great country as they pursued their dreams.
After successfully completing law school, Igor decided to work alongside Rep. Tom McClintock (CA-04) and helped him get elected to Congress. Igor then served as his Chief of Staff in Washington, D.C. working as Rep. McClintock’s right hand man, fighting to protect the Second Amendment and all our constitutional rights.
This year Igor stepped down from his position as Chief of Staff and decided to run for Congress. During his tenure as Rep. McClintock’s Chief of Staff, Gun Owners of America worked closely with Igor, and we know firsthand his in-depth understanding of our Second Amendment and his passion to protect our right to keep and bear arms.
Igor is an unwavering constitutional conservative, and has spent his professional career working as a true defender of liberty. Because he spent the early part of his life living in country where life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness were repressed, he will do everything while serving in Congress to continue preserving those rights for all Americans.
Igor knows firsthand that the Second Amendment is invaluable to freedom and prosperity.
