El Dorado County's Foothill 7 Television goes live streaming on with new community interactive website
PLACERVILLE – CA - Already a local favorite in El Dorado County for over two decades, Foothill 7 Television has undergone tremendous growth and popularity in the past year, broadcasting to 60,000 viewers on Comcast throughout the community. Now, the local television station is reaching far beyond the local cable audience by expanding its broadcast to stream live on the internet.
In conjunction with the launch of it's new interactive website, Foothill 7 Television is now utilizing up-to-date internet technology which enables the station to stream live on our webpage. The station's audience is no longer limited to only cable television subscribers but can now be viewed by anyone with access to the internet, not only in the rural areas of El Dorado County but anywhere in the nation right from their desktop, laptop and mobile devices.
Viewers can also watch episodes of your favorite Foothill 7 shows on-demand and in HD at www.foothill7tv.com. Previously, all videos streamed from an outside service. The station's new website now streams all videos directly from their own servers, giving the media organization a much improved and branded delivery within a simplified experience. Now it’s easy to find and watch all our content without leaving the site.
In addition to the live streaming, Foothill 7 Television continues to expand their content to give you more to see, more to learn and more to share. The station's new website expresses more completely what Foothill 7 TV is all about. As El Dorado County’s multimedia voice, the mission and efforts are expanding. We’re not just on TV! Foothill 7 Television's new colorful website is a helpful community resource. The site features a new Community Calendar where local groups can post upcoming events. A Community News page for stories and announcements of local interest. One of the many pages featured local non-profit and charity organizations that have been featured on the station with contact information and links to their websites.
Watch video highlighting local community efforts on Foothill 7's Hometown Happenings page. Several new shows are in the works as well as returning favorites. Among them include In Session which features projects and achievements of local high school students, beginning with Oak Ridge High School. This fantastic outreach is being written, filmed and produced by members of the school's Art Media Club and other high schools in the area are expected to follow suit. Additional programs include The Where and Wears of El Dorado County, Angler West, The Basics of Life produced by Green Valley Community Church, California Bountiful, Point Blank and much more.
Marshall Medical has just launched their new health awareness series on Foothill 7 Television. This series takes an inside look at many different aspects of Marshall Hospital including the use of Robotics, Cancer care, the Birth Center and Plastic Surgery.
Additionally the station is working to bring you new episodes of The Where and Wears of El Dorado County. Hometown Happening's will be featuring a number of charitable organizations in the coming months including MORE, The Veterans Memorial Park in El Dorado Hills, Toys for Tots, Snowline Hospice, The Woman's Fund of El Dorado County, The El Dorado Community Foundation and many more.

Foothill 7 Television was founded in 1986 by Placerville's Michael Dennis who joined forces with longtime El Dorado County auto dealer Ron Thompson over the past year to build a new state of the art studio, increase staffing and make what has long been a great product even greater for the community. This media and entertainment resource that is brought to the community by the Thompson's Family of Automotive Dealership is continuing to grow at a rapid pace and has already begun to reach out to area educators to offer internships for film and production studies.
