Noted Author Melissa De La Cruz Comes to Face in a Book in El Dorado Hills
On Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. Melissa de la Cruz, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of many award-winning novels for young adults (including the “Blue Bloods” and “Au Pair” series), will be at Face in a Book (along with her co-writer, Michael Johnson) to kick off a new series, “Frozen.”
Book 1, “Heart of Dread” takes place in a city blanketed with ice and introduces a heroine desperately seeking escape.
Melissa de la Cruz, who currently lives in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, grew up in Manila and moved to San Francisco with her family. She has worked as a fashion and beauty editor for publications including The New York Times, Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar, and has appeared as an expert on fashion, trends and fame for CNN, E! and Fox News.
A TV series, “The Witches of East End,” based on Melissa de la Cruz’s series, is set to debut this fall on the Lifetime Network.
