Oak Ridge High School Students Go Beyond typical school curriculum to Tackles Hunger
Self-actualization is the curriculum at Oak Ridge High School as students strive to better the lives of strangers. "Sometimes you just have to do what's right regardless of how you personally feel about it, because you never know if you will be in that same situation, and you will be seeking help," said one supporter.
Although the details have not been released, The cheerleaders will have a presentation at mid-game to help end hunger in El Dorado County.
Oak Ridge High School is noted for teaching her students that there is more to life than just meeting their own needs. To truly be successful they must reach out to those in society that are not as fortunate.
Exactly what will happen as halftime tonight is unknown, but we have been told that it has to do with a social media movement. We will be there with Paul Burke, the new principal at Oak Ridge High School, and we will bring you all the details as they unfold.
