PAUL M. TAGGART
Paul M. Taggart, 55, of Shingle Springs, CA died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, August 4, 2013.
A generous person with an engaging personality, Paul had an infectious enthusiasm for life, and a talent and passion for participation sports. He had an amazing love for his family with whom he shared quality time including many activities and travel experiences.
Paul's knowledge and skills as a senior claims adjuster for an insurance company were highly valued by his employer.
Paul was an optimist and exuberant in everything he did. He delighted in sharing his love of golfing, racquetball and sailing. He was involved with his children's sports teams, enjoyed vacations in Hawaii, barbeques with family and friends, and delighted in the individual talents of his children.
Nothing shone as bright in Paul's universe as his wife and children, the shining stars who led his navigation through this world. As a husband, father, brother and friend, he is unmatched in our world.
Much too young to leave us at 55 years, Paul was born in 1958 to Thelma and Harper Taggart while Paul's father was stationed at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. His childhood followed his father's military career, living in Okinawa and northern and southern California during his youth.
Paul met his wife, Marie Barber, in San Diego, CA, and they married in South Lake Tahoe, CA. They moved from Spring Valley, CA to Shingle Springs, CA in 2000.
In 2008 Paul joined the staff at the Red Hawk Casino as a Dealer and was greatly liked by staff and patrons.
While in southern California, Paul attended Canoga Park High School and Pierce College. Paul continued his higher education where he focused on business administration.
Preceded in death by his parents and his beloved canines, Paul is survived by his wife, Marie; their children, Briana, Brittany and Benjamin; his sisters, Carol (Roger) Lueck and Janet Taggart (Paul Stanley); and many others including in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, cats and friends. Cremation was planned with no funeral services to follow. Paul's life will be celebrated at a private memorial later this year.
