Placerville Man Arrested on Suspicion of Davis, Soda Springs Burglaries
Two men went to jail Thursday on suspicion of a string of burglaries in Davis that occurred about a month ago.
On Thursday, deputies from Yolo and Placer counties went to a home on the 4900 block of Gardenia Way in Sacramento to arrest Ronald Steven McNair, of Placerville, and Matthew Lee Boyle, of Sacramento, on suspicion of the aforementioned crimes.
Police say that Boyle and McNair burglarized a home on the 39000 block of Black Hawk Drive in Davis and their vacation home located in Soda Springs.
Investigators believe that the two men used information contained within the victim’s laptop computer to direct them to the victim's vacation home in Soda Springs.
"Both homes were ransacked with the victims reporting in excess of $50,000 in personnel property stolen, including electronics, furniture, fine art and sterling silver," according to a sheriff's press release.
Officials were able to recover thousands of dollars in property.
