Mount Aukum Winery recently took an industrious step by developing a new brand for their already successful winery.
Recognizing that their brand is meant to be an indicator and visual representation of who they are in the market and noting that their former logo was far too plain to convey this, the popular family-owned winery engaged a local firm in late 2010 to enhance their identity to showcase their vibrant personable nature and unique wines.
“We wanted to have something dynamic to represent Michel's exciting wines and our ‘Elevation Matters’ motto while bringing a design to the table that is easily identifiable by anyone who sees it within the sea of other wine labels on a shelf,” explained Terrie Prod’hon, co-owner and business manager of Mount Aukum Winery. "Clearly, we have achieved this through the bright colors and sunburst supporting our incredible views."
Mount Aukum Winery sits on the peak of Mount Aukum at 2,615 feet and offers panoramic vistas from its tasting room. The warm and engaging family members that greet visitors offer a wonderful wine tasting experience that matches the exceptional view and the new look.
In the upcoming months, Mount Aukum Winery will begin the process of introducing the new look through various marketing communications such as website, advertising, social media tactics, events and outreach programs.
Mount Aukum is a member of the El Dorado Winery Association and will be participating in the annual Passport Weekends event in April.

The grapes used to make Mount Aukum’s award-winning wines, come from its own extraordinary vineyards in the Fair Play appellation and from a few other specially selected sources. All the grapes are grown in the same sunshine, soils, drainage and elevations that produce multifaceted wines with the special characteristics that come from the region.
The wines are made by Michel Prod’hon, a winemaker who grew up in Chaumount, in the Champagne region of France, where he learned the art of winemaking at a very young age.
