LA-style traffic, from Elk Grove to El Dorado Hills. Or, better yet, from El Dorado Hills to Elk Grove. There’s no way to avoid it.
“Until now,” says Gene Endicott with Endicott Communications.
A new road connecting the two cities is supposed to give commuters a viable alternative to Highway 50.
“Travelers going east to west have no choice right now but to go though the central core of Sacramento,” Endicott told FOX40.
The project, paid for by taxpayers, is expected to be completed by 2018. Endicott estimates the road will save residents and commuters about $11.7 million a year by 2045.
Completed within 5 years, the project will bring nearly 25,000 jobs to the Sacramento region.
