8th annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival
The silver screen meets glittering Lake Tahoe at the eighth annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival On Tour Friday, March 8, at the MontBleu Showroom.
Presented by the Sierra Nevada Alliance, South Tahoe Earth Day Committee and Patagonia South Lake Tahoe, the Wild and Scenic Film Festival combines award-winning environmental and adventure films with the energy of local activism and benefits the Sierra Nevada Alliance. Featured films at the event will cover fun outdoor adventures, battles to save the environment and inspirational stories of people making a difference.
“Each year we choose powerful environmental and adventure films so that attendees are inspired to take further action regarding issues that impact our environment, ourselves and our world,” said Kay Ogden, associate director for the Sierra Nevada Alliance. “These films are fun and inspirational. From the beauty of our natural world, to the awe of outdoor adventure, to the determination of one person to make a difference — this festival is unique.”
The eighth annual film festival is returning to the MontBleu showroom and will feature a VIP backstage reception, a filmmaker Q&A session, a silent auction and giveaways as well as food and drink.
Advance tickets are $12 for Sierra Nevada Alliance members, $15 for non-members and $10 for students.
Advance tickets can be purchased at www.sierranevadaalliance.org/news and at Patagonia South Lake Tahoe. Tickets will be available at MontBleu the night of the show for $20. Doors open at 6 p.m. and films start at 7 p.m.
