Cameron Park Rotary announces education grant
The Cameron Park Rotary Club has grant funding available to local high school students wishing to pursue a vocational education and who plan to work in El Dorado County after graduating. Successful applicants receive a two-year, $1,000 per year grant. The grants are funded by the “Darol Rasmussen Education Endowment.”
By granting money to students in our community to pursue vocations such as Auto Repair, Public Safety, Dental Assistant, etc., we change and grow the future of our local economy by encouraging students to return to and live in El Dorado County.
There is no minimum grade point average to apply, and GEDs are also acceptable.
The Grant Application is available online at calocalscholarships.org (scroll to Cameron Park Rotary Community Foundation Darol Rasmussen Vocational Grant); or request a pamphlet and application from your school counselor; or send the application to the Cameron Park Rotary Foundation, 3377 Coach Lane #G Cameron Park, CA 95682. For more information, call 530-677-0219.
Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2013.
