While there are no snow storms on the horizon, the good news for Lake Tahoe skiers and snowboarders is the famed “bluebird” days will be stacking up this week.
The sun-drenched days will come with soft corduroy runs and colder than normal weather, which means the snow won’t be melting in the daytime, at least early in the week.
Daytime temperatures today will be in the low 30s and rising a bit to the mid-to-high 30s on Monday. Evening temperatures will remain in the teens.
Carve Tahoe continues
Looking for something unusual on the slopes today? The picturesque Village at Northstar has transformed into a garden of snow sculptures and remains that way until Tuesday (Feb. 12) when the Lake Tahoe ski resort hosts Carve Tahoe, the region's first-ever international snow carving competition.

Banzai Tour at Alpine
For a more action-oriented event, check out the Daron Rahlves’ Banzai Tour at Alpine Meadows. The Banzai Tour showcases racing in its purest form of four at a time going head-to-head over natural terrain in ski and boarder-cross style action. The event began Saturday and continues today.
