Meyers tapped to succeed retiring El Dorado County schools superintendent

At a regularly scheduled meeting of the El Dorado County Board of Education held Feb. 5, the Board of Trustees appointed Jeremy Meyers to the County Superintendent position, effective July 1, 2013. The appointment of Jeremy Meyers comes as a result of the need to fulfill the unexpired term left by the retirement of Dr. Vicki Barber.

Barber has announced she plans on retiring from her position effective June 30, 2013...

Prior to joining the county’s office of education, Meyers was Assistant Superintendent for the Black Oak Mine Unified School District, where he had also been in positions of Principal and Assistant Principal at Golden Sierra High School...
