

Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Dorado County and Inter-cal Real Estate are putting on a free Family Fun Carnival on Jan. 26 from 10am-3pm at the County Fair Shopping Center, at the corner of Fair Lane and Placerville Drive in Placerville.
There will be free food, games and a bike rodeo.

In 1977, someone saw a need. Many of the children in our community had unusual challenges in their lives. Some lived in single parent homes, were growing up in poverty, or were coping with parental incarceration. They needed support and encouragement to succeed. Given the proven success the national Big Brothers Big Sisters program had achieved, the solution was obvious. And Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Dorado County was born.
