The Capital SouthEast Connector Joint Powers Authority today announced that El Dorado County Supervisor Ron Mikulaco has been appointed to the JPA Board of Directors.
Mikulaco was elected to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors in June 2012 and took office on Jan. 7. He represents District 1, which includes El Dorado Hills, and was appointed to the JPA board by the El Dorado County Board at its Jan. 8 meeting.
“I look forward to working with the other board members towards this regional project,” said Mikulaco.
Mikulaco will attend his first Connector JPA Board meeting on Friday, Feb. 8. He joins Sacramento County Supervisor Don Nottoli, Folsom Vice Mayor Jeff Starksy, Elk Grove Council Member Pat Hume and Rancho Cordova Council Member David Sander on the JPA board.
The connector is a planned 35-mile parkway that will span from Interstate 5, south of Elk Grove, to Highway 50 in El Dorado County, just east of El Dorado Hills. Its implementation is currently estimated to cost $456 million.
