

Ronald M. Brothers, born on Feb. 11, 1933, in Oakland, Calif., passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2013, at home in Cameron Park, Calif., surrounded by his loving family. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty (Crossley); son, Allen (Christine); daughter, Shelley Lyn; son, Pat (Peggy); grandchildren, Brian, Cheryl (Dru), Brandon, Lindsey, Brandon, Joshua (Christine) and Patrick; eight wonderful great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Heuschober (Lynelle); sister, Darlene Stevenson (Tom); and a large circle of loving friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Brothers; and mother, Arabelle Heuschober.
Ron received his bachelor degree in sociology from Sacramento State University and retired as a Deputy Chief in the Probation Department for San Mateo County after 30 years of service. He enjoyed being with family and friends, football, travel and RVing. He was an entertainer, golfer, fisherman, camper and all around great guy. He was a member of The Cameron Park Newcomers, SIRs, The Elks Lodge No. 1712 and The Marines Memorial, and proudly served in the Navy aboard The USS Yorktown from 1951-1955.
Friends and family are invited to a casual celebration of life luncheon being held on Jan. 22 at 1 p.m., at the Elks Lodge, 3821 Quest Court in Shingle Springs, Calif.
