PR Pond, Jan 3 2102
Colibri Ridge Winery & Vineyard and the Sierra Banquet Center are teaming up to present a five (5) course wine maker dinner on Saturday January 26, 2013. We will be starting at 6:00 pm with a Stuffed Endive appetizer paired with our 2007 Estate Viognier. Next will be a Greek Salad that will be served with our 2004 El Dorado Zinfandel, followed by some tangy South of the Border Prawns along with our 2007 Estate Primitivo. After a sort breather we will be presenting the main course, a pan seared Elk Tri-Tip paired with a wild berry sauce, which will be paired with our 2006 Estate Tempranillo. For desert we will be having a Chocolate Mousse along with our Estate Syrah Port.
For those of you that have never had the opportunity to try Elk, it is one of the most delightful and tender game meats available, and it does not have that gamey taste you normally associate with most game meats. An alternative main course will be available, however we will need to know if you desire an alternative main course when you make your reservations.
The cost for this extraordinary 5 course dinner is mere $45.00 per person. The Sierra Banquet Center is located in a massive and beautiful log cabin at 3220 Pondorado Rd. in Camino, CA. For reservations you can call us here at the winery at (530) 620-7255, or you can call the Sierra Banquet Center directly at (530) 644-0345. Seating is limited to 50 people so make your reservations soon before it sells out.
