An Open Letter to the Staff at Marshall Medical Center

I am newly arrived in Placerville and came with a “passel of problems”. The doctors and office personnel made me feel welcomed and provided me with information and treatments appropriate to my needs.

I am extremely pleased to be a patient of a Marshall Plan. My brief stay at your Outpatient Surgical Clinic was a great experience. I was anxious about the surgery that I was about to undergo. The “Cath Nurses” as well as the admitting or prep nurses were efficient and showed great concern for me. I deeply appreciated this. It assuages my fears and made me feel safe.

Great bedside manner ladies, A++!

They also exhibited a high degree of cohesive teamwork. I was impressed by their ability to work together as a team. Each knew their jobs well and that expertise was both comforting and appreciated. When the MD arrived, all was ready for him. The operation was done quickly and painless. Bravo Dr. V.   After the surgery and recovery my RN offered me a hot cup of tea while my daughter brought the car up then she wheel-chaired me to the car and helped me into it.

I have moved from Long Island (three days after Hurricane Sandy) where I retired as a Supervising RN two years ago.  After more than 40 years of nursing, it was comforting to see what a great nursing staff they have at the medical center that I now visit as a patient.

I cannot express how impressive, comfortable and truly fun it was for me to have my surgery with you. As a retired RN, I recognize excellence in Nursing. Congratulations on your excellent, efficient facilities and first class staff.
