Two skiers were caught Sunday morning in an avalanche at Squaw Valley USA reportedly triggered by three snowboarders.
Neither skier was buried by snow, Squaw Valley said in a statement.
One skier, a 39-year-old woman, was treated and released from a Squaw Valley medical clinic. A second skier, a 16-year-old boy, was treated for a shoulder injury and taken to Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee.
Squaw Valley reported it did a full search to confirm there was no one else caught in the slide with more than 100 staff and volunteers. Also seven avalanche rescue dogs from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows joined the search.
Squaw Valley reported several members of the ski patrol were on scene within a minute of the avalanche at 9:50 a.m. The search ended at 11:50 a.m.
