The Push-back against ADA Abuse Builds in Pollock Pines

Thanks to Supervisor Nutting, who made me aware of a White House briefing per tele-conference on the proposed new ADA law affecting public pools and disabled access per new ADA requirements. I took part in the briefing and the result is as follows:
 
There is a 60 day hold on the implementation of that part of the revised law (only the part that pertains to public pools and lift requirements)
 
Additionally there is a 15 day public comment period (federal register). This comment period is specifically limited to possible delay on implementation, not on the content of the law.
 
Maximum delay to be 6 months, maybe less... D.O.J. to apply based on comments.
 
I specifically asked DOJ representative if the delay would guarantee a delay of potential trial lawyer lawsuits, answer was specifically "unable to comment"
 
I contacted the office of Congressman Dan Lungren who is eager to participate in our common goals. I am currently reviewing HR 3356 and other proposed bills and will make recommendations as to applying effort to gain passage.
 
I have begun the process of contacting other county's in California to build a network for addressing these pressing issues that affect all of us.
