
Pauline grew up in Oklahoma. Her parents had a farm which she and her brothers helped work. They lived through the Dust Bowl period of the Midwest in the 1930s. During World War II she worked as a “Rosy the Riveter” for Douglas Aircraft and was able to be a homemaker while raising her children.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Fred Files; her son, C. Boyd Johnson; one grandson; and her three brothers. She is survived by her son, Joe Bryant; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, Calif.
