Before filing the 2008 return, Luckett failed to file a return for at least the prior six years and obtained a $605,692 refund, according to prosecutors.
A U.S. District Judge sentenced former South Lake Tahoe resident Gwen Noel Luckett, 59, to two years in prison Monday and for filing a fraudulent tax return, according to a statement from federal prosecutors.
Luckett was also ordered to pay $605,692 in restitution to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
