Water mainline break in front of MORE

EL DORADO IRRIGATION DISTRICT crews are repairing a 10-inch water main in front of MORE on Placerville Drive. The line broke at 1:30 a.m. Thursday and crews expected it to be repaired and the pavement temporarily patched by 4-4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The section being replaced is 20 feet long. MORE is served by a different lateral line and was unaffected by the line break. The center with Sears and Rocky's Framing were due to be hooked up to a temporary alternative line before noon.

There were no pressure problems with the line, according to EID Communications Director Mary Lynn Carlton.
