Heavenly Mountain Resort opens more ski terrain

Heavenly Mountain Resort reported Sunday it opened its Olympic Express lift and its Olympic Downhill slope, bringing the open terrain to 610 acres.

Temperatures have cooled, allowing them to operate what hey tout as the largest snowmaking system on the west coast.

Heavenly also expects another 6 inches to 8 inches of snow from a storm on Wednesday and will open more terrain when they can.
