High School District Offers Limited Open Enrollment at Union Mine High School for 2013–14 for Incoming 9th Graders

The El Dorado Union High School District is pleased to announce that Limited Open Enrollment at Union Mine High School for the 2013–14 school year will be offered to incoming 9th grade students who reside within the El Dorado Union High School District attendance boundaries.

The enrollment projection for the school's permanent capacity will allow for 35 transfers.

Applicants may obtain the Limited Open Enrollment Request form and Instructions at the front office at each high school within the District, or on-line at www.eduhsd.net, or at the District Office located at 4675 Missouri Flat Road, Placerville.

Assistant Superintendent for Student Services Steve Volmer says that, "The District will consider only those request forms submitted during the Limited Open Enrollment Period (from November 5 through December 18, 2012, no later than 4:00 p.m)." He further adds that, "The District will perform a computer-generated random selection from all of the valid requests received by the enrollment deadline. A list will be developed based on this randomized numerical ranking, and the first 35 requests will be offered enrollment into Union Mine High School." Volmer also notes that, "If one of the initial 35 requests should decline the offer of enrollment, then the next request on the ranked list will be offered enrollment."

Applicants should thoroughly read the Instructions for Limited Open Enrollment for additional pertinent information regarding submission of forms, District policy regarding siblings, sports eligibility, and parent's responsibility for transportation to and from school.
