Mother of South Lake Tahoe Olympic snowboard pro arrested in N.Y. for Drug Trafficking
An active top-rank Olympic contender from Lake Tahoe brings notoriety to the area more because of her mother then her own world rank snowboarding. Police say there's no evidence Elena knew of, or was involved with, the drug operation. The 22-year-old has twice competed for the U.S. snowboarding team at the Winter Olympics and is again expected to do so in Sochi, Russia, in 2014. This year she posted bail to get her mother out of jail. After being fingered by a confidential source, Elane's mother Myra, admitted to having a small amount of marijuana with her, as well as a stun gun. Once a search warrant was obtained for her vehicle, police found tens of thousands of dollars in cash, as well as a ledger detailing money already paid and still owed for marijuana deliveries. The ledger amounts added up to more than $500,000. Senior Detective Alan Rozansky of the Erie County Sheriff's Department said the drug trafficking ring is believed to have generated several millions of dollars and stretched along a number of states.

They would be required to keep a record for every pet they serviced for two years, the name of the pet, the name and address of the owner and the pet's veterinarian, any special needs the pet may have or allergies and a list of all chemicals used on the pet.
